There is not much to tell . . . my name is July and my human is Joan Greene.

We live in Tennessee.  She designs toys and writes books.  I am a Catahoula and was born in Louisianna. I chase squirrels and love long walks along the beach.  (Heck, I have never been to the beach.) I am a woods and dog park kind of guy.

Note from Joan . . .

I was widowed in my 30's, and learned how much a hand
extended in friendship can change the outlook for another human being.  As my world collapsed around me, I kept praying for a hand to reach out to me to save me from the pain.

That hand came in many ways from a friend who sent me a card once a week for a couple of years to others who stopped by or called.

I am not sure how this site will unfold.  We started it simply to illuminate the losses that a friend suffered just as 2009 arrived.

I plan to update you as I get news of Kerry, and hope to do that bi-monthly.  This is not a business for me in anyway.  I am busy with work and living, but it is my way of Lending-A-Hand.
